Slow Twist Equestrian Center is a welcoming boutique riding facility located in Hempstead, TX where riders develop confidence, horsemanship, and a strong partnership with the horse. We offer programs for riders of different ages and experience levels, from those just beginning their riding journey to experienced equestrians working toward new goals.

At Slow Twist, riding is about more than time in the saddle. Our program helps riders build strong fundamentals, confidence, and horsemanship while developing a thoughtful partnership with the horse. Whether you're just beginning, returning to riding, or looking to advance your skills, instruction is tailored to help you learn, progress, and enjoy the journey.
We offer English riding instruction in dressage and jumping, as well as equestrian vaulting. Our program combines the progressive structure and horsemanship principles of the United States Pony Club with a foundation in classical dressage. Through mounted and unmounted instruction, riders develop confidence, balance, effective communication, and a deeper understanding of the horse while building skills that carry into a variety of equestrian disciplines.

With more than 20 years of experience teaching riders and working with horses, Meredith's approach combines classical riding principles, horsemanship, confidence, and an understanding of the individual horse-and-rider partnership.
The Facility
Located in Hempstead, Texas, Slow Twist Equestrian Center offers a relaxed, welcoming environment designed for both horses and riders. The facility includes a lighted riding arena, wash area, tack room, and comfortable spaces for riders and families, along with pasture boarding and room to enjoy the horses beyond lesson time.
